The artwork for the Tamar bridge continues and this time it was on the other side of the water in Cornwall. Pupils from Saltash.net Community School took part in another bridge building workshop. The bridges were constructed out of basic materials then scored for beauty and durability.
The images of the bridges will be used as part of the artworks displayed on the Bridge combined with images of wildlife and history. But for all of you reading this blog – here is a sneak preview.

Being launched this weekend to coincide with BIOBLITZ the Mount Edgcumbe Shore Tour is a Geocaching activity (or letterboxing for those of you who are technophobes) that will take you on a tour of Mount Edgcumbe.
Letterboxing is an old dartmoor tradition where adventurers have to locate a hidden pot containing a stamp which they collect, often leaving a stamp of thier own in a booklet that is provided.
It has developed with modern technology into Geocaching, and you can get an app downloaded onto your phone, or you can use a GPS device to locate the secret ‘cache’.
CoastNet have hidden 8 ‘caches’ or ‘letterboxes’ at various locations around Mount Edgecumbe and you can use this Shore Tour Guide for the clues and to collect the stamps.
As yet noone has uploaded the locations to the Geocaching website – will you be the first?
Anyone who completes the whole tour will be entered into a competition to win a FREE snorkelling lesson. Send your completed booklet to:

To end the Summer CoastNet invited Kathy Wray to the pools where she assisted the children and young people to create a range of coast inspired works of art.
Ok, so they ended up wearing most of the paint – but they did have the pools to clean up in….
